About The Role:

We are looking for a Procurement Professional who manages the overall activities in the Procurement Function at the Group Level. A Professional with a strong managerial skill is proactive, has excellent communication skills with Pleasing Personality, and has the ability to communicate professionally with internal & external stakeholders.

A Procurement Professional who:

a) Plan and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to reduce the overall supply chain risk.

b) Develop long-term partnership strategies with suppliers through alliances and collaboration.

c) Ensure end-to-end procurement processes are continuously improved and automated.

 

What will the individual do day to day?

 

Procurement Portfolio Management

1. Coordination with HOD for closure of day-to-day activities related to Procurement Function.

2. Close Coordination with other related functions for timely closure of requirements.

3. Hands-on experience in Procurement of all Direct & Indirect Materials.

4. Responsible for planning, developing, and buying materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective way maintaining quality standards and specifications.

5. New Vendor Development & Negotiate to arrive at the lowest Cost Proposition from Vendors at the Best Quality.

6. Negotiate all terms and conditions, in line with the business needs ensuring the best total acquisition costs

7. Sourcing, vendor analysis, vendor management, vendor lead time, profit margins, and supplier reconciliation.

8. Ensure appropriate costing techniques are developed to benchmark prices of various commodities and items across the portfolio.

9. Responsible for Cost Effective and Favourable Procurement of all Items.

10. Control the Spend and Build a Culture of Long-Term Savings on Buying Costs.

11. Continually monitor suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery adherence.

12. Responsible for Vendor Development for sourcing Full Products from domestic markets

13. Research supply market(s) to identify and understand the potential supply base

14. Build Selection Criteria and Perform Supplier Analysis: Identify, rank and weight supplier selection criteria

15. Inviting Quotation, Preparing & Analysing a Techno Commercial Comparative Statement.

16. Closures of ARC’s for Consumable Items, Misc. Repairs & Maintenance Work and Other Regular items across Group Level.

 

Operation Process

1. Monitor procurement activities across all manufacturing plants, and other remote locations and take appropriate actions required to ensure OTIF to avoid stockouts/production stoppages.

2. Develop insights on regular basis for improving the overall procurement function performance and internal stakeholder management.

3. Develop & On-Board new vendor/service providers base into the system to get the best cost out of it.

4. Adopt the most appropriate sourcing strategies and work closely with other functions to develop alternative sources.

5. Champion cost-saving projects and define strategies to achieve cost targets.

6. Creation, Issuance of Purchase Order & maintaining the records for the same.

7. Track Purchase Orders, Proactively follow to ensure on-time delivery of material & review the quality of Items/Services Procured.

8. Creating monthly MIS & Presentation for monthly review, highlighting dept. achievements & driving meaningful transformation for Projects.

9. Support businesses to develop new product development into the system.

10. Implement innovative sourcing strategies to deliver on benchmark savings.

12. Ensure the Procurement Process is continuously improved and automated from time to time.

12. Monitor MIS reports to improve upon the buyer’s performance.

13. Ensure Compliance of Internal & External Audits.

14. Ensure 100% compliance with the Procure to Pay Process.

 

What are we looking for?

1. Post-graduate in any stream with Minimum Experience: 12 to 14 years. BE or MBA will be an Added Advantage.

2. Experience in Projects Procurement (Including Civil Work) will be an Added Advantage.

3.Must have Good Negotiation, Communication Skills, Decision-Making Skills, Interpersonal Skills, People Oriented and Team Handling Abilities.

4. Excellent ability to grasp the process/ data and analytical abilities.

5. Excellent problem-solving, time management, and critical thinking skills.

6. Demonstrated ability to work in a Dynamic and Intense Environment.

7. Ability to Drive things on its own, one who takes initiative, is passionate, goes the extra mile to get the work done & displays a High Energy Attitude.

8. Proven ability to analyze and improve work processes and policies with good statistical skills.

9. Strong work ethic, integrity, self-sufficient & highly organized.

10. Well Versed with documentation and system adherence in Procurement Function.

11. Well Versed with Excel / Presentation.

12. Well-versed with SAP.
